From powders to bricks to liquids I advise you to never be scared of a bronzer. It can do wonders for your complexion and confidence. If you are not a fan of self –tanning then take a step back and consider a bronzer!!

Giorgio Armani: Sheer Bronzer

This bronzer comes in two colours and the pigments are fantastic!  Creating the glow of sun-kissed sculpted skin with the help of soft micro-fine powder and buildable colour.

Nars: Bronzing Powder

“Laguna” is one of the best bronzing powders for light skin. Diffused powders with golden shimmer create all-over warmth while adding a subtle glow.

Colour Couture: Bronzer Brick

A brick does it all from the highlighting to shading. Each individual shade can be used to brighten and contour your eyes and cheeks.

Bobbi Brown: Shimmer Brick Compact – Bronze

This shimmer brick is a little bit more…shimmery. For those of you who really like to glow this will be perfect.

Becca: Shimmering Skin Perfector – Topaz

This product is great for those of you with dry skin and find powders end up going patchy after a few hours. You will achieve instant radiance and vitality and will reduce imperfections.

Best application methods:

I will always advise you to use a brush. I prefer to use a blush brush, something that is dome shaped with medium-soft bristles. Since a bronzing powder is one shade its simple to use, a brick has varying shades so consider if you want to mix them all together or use the darker ones to contour and lighter ones to highlight. Either way, it is up to you. A liquid is really not complicated so don’t avoid it. I suggest squirting a pearl sized amount onto your hand or wrist and then using your brush to apply.

My simple technique is the “3 shape”.  With a small amount of product on your brush (its easier to start small and build up -always harder going backwards) start at the middle of your forehead, brush along the hairline and temple reaching mid ear, come along your cheekbone back to your ear, down to your jaw and just under your jaw-line. Exactly like you are drawing the number 3.

This technique gives you the perfect glowing complexion. I usually take one more sweep of product along the cheeks bone then softly blend all over using a bigger face brush.

Let me know which products work best for you!!
